8. Travel:
a) By Air: the closest international airport is: Birmingham International,
a very short shuttle ride (3 minutes) from the National Exhibition
Centre.
b) By Road: the National Exhibition Centre is situated adjacent
to the M42 motorway.
c) By Rail. Birmingham International Train Station is situated
adjacent to Birmingham International Airport and the NEC. The
train station is on the mainline from London to Birmingham city
centre
Airline options
Please note that the UK is very well served by budget airlines
although very few actually fly to Birmingham. It is often possible
to fly very cheaply to the UK and then hire a car, which will
be very useful to travel to and from hotels!!

expensive (normally at least £100 per room per night)
Hotels in Birmingham city centre are generally cheaper than those
on the NEC site, and it is easy to travel by train from the city
centre to the NEC, with a frequent service from Birmingham New
Street Train station to Birmingham International Train station.
